ASP Health showcases its AI-based End-to-End ROSE solution at the ASC Conference

ASP Health recently attended the ASC (American Society of Cytopathology) conference held in Orlando, FL on December 7-9th, 2024.

The American Society of Cytopathology (ASC), founded in 1951, is a distinguished national professional society of physicians, cytotechnologists, and scientists who are dedicated to the cytologic method of diagnostic pathology. The 2024 edition of the ASC conferences was the 72nd Annual Scientific Meeting and was well attended by cytopathologists and cytotechnologists from around the world.  This annual meeting of the ASC had a significant focus on digital pathology and Artificial Intelligence, with several large players showcasing their digital pathology solutions for gynecological (e.g., cervical) and non-gynecological (e.g., urine) samples.

ASP Health showcased its AI-based end-to-end solution for ROSE (Rapid On-Site Evaluation) at this conference.  The solution included the ROSE Prep™ system – a fully automated sample preparation and staining system, the ROSE View™ system – an automated remote microscope that can view the specimen slides remotely, and the ROSE Assist™ software – a custom-developed AI-based software to help the cytopathologists and cytotechnologists in the remote assessment of the specimen slides.  This end-to-end ROSE solution fully addresses some of the critical challenges faced by cytopathologists and cytotechnologists in implementing ROSE in their practice.  Some of these challenges include resource shortages, time to perform ROSE, sample variability, etc.

Along the sidelines of the ASC conference, ASP Health also launched its new marketing campaign targeted towards cytotechnologists and cytopathologists: De-Stress your ROSE™.  This included the launch of a new logo that incorporates all three offerings of ASP Health.  This new logo was also integrated into the new brand name of each of ASP Health’s products:  ROSE Prep™ pro, ROSE View™ pro, and ROSE Assist™ pro.  The new logos can be seen on our updated website, www.asp-health.com.

In addition to the demonstration of ASP Health’s end-to-end solution, our Director of Clinical Affairs, Ms. Joanna Danczuk, delivered a platform presentation at this conference titled “Improving the Efficiency of ROSE Utilizing Artificial Intelligence.”  This platform presentation was well received by the audience at the ASC conference and was awarded the “Innovative Cytologist Practice Abstract” by the esteemed panel at the ASC.

The attendees at ASP Health’s booth were very excited to see the first commercially available end-to-end solution for ROSE.  Many clinicians at both large and small medical centers felt that this solution was a ‘game changer’ as it would enable them to offer ROSE cost-effectively and efficiently without having to be present in the procedure room.  Importantly the cytopathologists will be able to use the existing CPT codes to bill for ROSE and use the time saved on other important and higher reimbursable activities.

ASP Health is currently commercializing its ROSE Prep™ system and the ROSE View™ system in the US and Europe. The ROSE Assist™ software is available as a Research Use/Investigational Use product.
